Bay of Fires Tasmania

Here’s a shot from the Bay of Fires in Tasmania. It’s in a area on the north east coast of Tasmania named Binalong Bay and is lined with white sand beaches, and orange coloured rocks.  The orange colour on the granite rocks are from lichen. It’s just a really beautiful place.

This was shot at sunset, and the weather and clouds turned out pretty nice one the day.

The Three Sisters

I spent the last 2 days at the Blue Mountains, and captured a few images of this beautiful region of NSW. The weather wasn’t that great despite being the middle of summer, very foggy and it rained a lot, but it did clear up a bit enough to let me grab this stunning image of the sunset from the Three Sisters (Echo Point) lookout.

Red Sky at Warners Bay

There has been some pretty colourful sunsets over the past week, often several days in a row. Last evening, I set up by the jetty at Warners Bay. It looks out over Lake Macquarie and is only around 15 mins from Newcastle.

Its a really nice relaxing place to be, and usually at this time of year (Summer here in Australia), there is often a lot of people about. There were quite a few people last night watching the sunset also. Here are two of my favorite shots from the evening.

Nobbys Lighthouse Sunset

Yesterday evening, I headed down to Nobbys Lighthouse (in Newcastle) to photograph a few landscapes. It was a great sunset, and here are few images from the evening.

The colours in the sky can change significantly over the course of several minutes, here is another shot just moments earlier before the sun went down.

Avoca Beach – Central Coast

Here are a couple of recent images, some landscapes I shot over the weekend in the Central Coast of NSW. Some shots from North Avoca Beach and also from the Avoca Beach itself (at the southern end).

The weather was a bit ordinary with a lot of rain, but Saturday showed some really nice cloud formations before a storm rolled in, I managed to set up a few shots along the beach.

I’ve been pretty busy over the past few months building my new studio, so unfortunately haven’t had as much time to do updates as I would like. But now there should be more updates to see on my blog, and perhaps more tutorials too.
